Team Advisor – Procurement (Category Buyer)

About the role

The Team Advisor Purchase acts as a Category Buyer, driving sourcing strategies for capital‑expenditure projects. You will work closely with project, maintenance and operations teams to translate technical requirements into cost‑effective procurement solutions while ensuring quality, service and risk targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with project and operations teams to capture CAPEX requirements and technical specifications.
• Identify and evaluate potential OEMs, preparing technical and techno‑commercial comparisons (TCO) for equipment and machinery.
• Negotiate, develop and maintain purchasing contracts with business partners, ensuring a reliable supply chain.
• Manage import processes for globally sourced indirect materials and services.
• Monitor CAPEX spend against approved budgets and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Issue commercial purchase orders, track payment terms, bank guarantees and progressive guarantees.
• Process purchase and service requisitions promptly and keep project stakeholders informed.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to align supply‑chain activities with project timelines and budgets.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, E&TC, International Business or a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply‑chain or operations.
• Strong analytical abilities with high attention to detail and capability to interpret market and financial data.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal partners and suppliers.
• Customer‑focused mindset and ability to work collaboratively across functions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Oracle ERP.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
