Tax Specialist

About the role

Accenture is seeking a Tax Specialist to join its Finance Operations vertical. The role focuses on statutory reporting and tax compliance, supporting clients by preparing complex tax returns, calculating tax provisions, and reconciling effective tax rates.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse operational data to determine financial outcomes.
• Prepare and file Federal, State and International tax returns.
• Develop monthly and quarterly tax calculations and workpapers.
• Record, report and reconcile tax transactions and effective tax rates.
• Perform IFRS to local GAAP reconciliations, update note accounts and apply XBRL tagging.
• Design tax processes and create tax packs for client reporting.
• Lead small project teams or work efforts and interact with client and Accenture stakeholders.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant, Cost and Works Accountant or MBA qualification.
• 7‑11 years of experience in statutory reporting, corporate tax compliance and international tax.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and manage client relationships.
• Experience in team management and tax data analytics.

Required skills

• OneSource tax software.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
• XBRL tagging expertise.
• Tax process design and effective tax rate reconciliation.
