Tax Manager – Compliance, Transfer Pricing & Litigation

About the role

The Tax Manager will lead tax compliance, reporting and litigation for the SJM and ARDX legal entities. This role ensures that the organization meets all statutory tax obligations while supporting strategic tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage regular tax compliance activities including audits, tax computations, returns, TDS, advance tax installments, refunds and related filings.
• Oversee transfer pricing obligations such as TP filing, segment P&L analysis, master file preparation, TP subvention and handling assessments and litigation.
• Handle tax litigation matters, including regular assessments, appellate proceedings, rectifications and preparation of documentation for assessments and appeals.
• Execute year‑end tax activities: current and deferred tax calculations, contingent tax liabilities, RPP analysis and related reporting.
• Coordinate corporate tax reporting for both soft and hard close cycles, covering current and deferred tax components.
• Lead annual tasks such as issuance of Lower Tax Deduction Certificates, March year‑end cut‑over for TDS/TCS compliance and MSME payments.
• Interpret tax laws and regulations to assess impact on business operations.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, external agencies and tax authorities.

Required profile

• Commerce graduate with Chartered Accountant qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance, transfer pricing and tax litigation.
• Proven ability to coordinate with auditors, consultants and tax authorities.
