Tax Consultant II – Global Trade & ABAP Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Consultant II to join Deloitte’s Global Trade Service team in India. The role combines tax advisory expertise with ABAP development for SAP HANA/S/4HANA, supporting our clients’ global trade transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, design, implement and deploy SAP solutions that meet business objectives for global trade and tax compliance.
• Align S/4HANA technologies and related tools with the overall business strategy.
• Collaborate with on‑shore teams and clients to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
• Review and validate code written by peers to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Gather and document business requirements, translate them into technical specifications.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve bugs to maintain system integrity.
• Conduct thorough testing to verify that solutions meet specifications and perform correctly.
• Document and maintain software systems for proper usage and future maintenance.
