Systems Integration Engineer

About the role

The Systems Integration Engineer will join SPAN’s Systems Integration & Test team, responsible for verifying and validating the company’s electrification products. You will ensure that hardware and software components meet specifications and that integrations satisfy both internal and external stakeholders as the product portfolio expands.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, firmware and software teams to design integration plans, write test plans, estimate timelines and build test rigs.
• Lead lab testing by defining integration test strategies, executing tests, characterising system performance and attempting to break the system.
• Reproduce and root‑cause issues, work with cross‑functional teams to develop and validate fixes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience with hardware systems, power electronics and reading PCBA schematics.
• 3+ years applying formal systems engineering processes.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.

Required skills

• Python, JavaScript, CLI tools, pytest, Linux.
• Communication protocols such as REST, CAN, Modbus.
• Use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers.
• Hands‑on electrical work: residential wiring, soldering.
• SQL and data‑visualisation tools.
• Experience with embedded systems and state‑machine debugging.
