Systems Administrator III – Linux & AWS

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Systems Administrator III to join our technology‑focused team. You will own the design, deployment, and ongoing management of Linux servers and AWS cloud infrastructure, working in a collaborative environment that values innovation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux distributions such as RHEL, Oracle Linux, Amazon Linux and Ubuntu.
• Automate and optimise infrastructure operations using Bash, Python, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Design, build and maintain AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, Elastic Load Balancer, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Perform OS patching, kernel updates and vulnerability remediation.
• Manage storage technologies – LVM, NFS, SAN/NAS – and handle disk, filesystem and backup tasks.
• Configure LDAP, user access controls and Linux security mechanisms.
• Analyse crash and kernel dumps with KDUMP to determine root causes.
• Monitor systems via SNMP and AWS CloudWatch, set up alerts and metrics.
• Administer VMware vSphere for virtual server builds and template customisation.
• Support disaster recovery using snapshots, AWS Backup and related processes.
• Coordinate hardware procurement and maintenance for HP ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge and other platforms.
• Mentor junior administrators, create runbooks and maintain documentation.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of experience in corporate IT operations or data‑centre environments.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on documentation and process improvement.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and governance best practices.
• Experience with both physical and virtual server builds across cloud, on‑premise and hybrid platforms.
