System Engineering Project Manager – Rolling Stock

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a System Engineering Project Manager to lead complex rolling‑stock projects for metro systems. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and controlling project activities while ensuring technical requirements, budgets, and timelines are met.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and technical requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and milestones.
• Assemble and lead a multidisciplinary team of system engineers, software developers, and technical specialists.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to the engineering team.
• Monitor and control project budgets, implement cost‑control measures, and report on KPIs.
• Identify, analyze, and manage technical, operational, and organizational risks, implementing mitigation strategies.
• Act as the liaison between the rolling‑stock business unit and the Engineering Center in India.
• Facilitate communication among stakeholders, deliver regular progress updates, and present project health in global and local meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex engineering projects, preferably in rail or transportation.
• Strong ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and drive results.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience with risk management and budget control.
