Calibration Team Lead – Drivability

About the role

The Drivability Calibration Lead will head calibration activities that ensure optimal vehicle performance, comfort and responsiveness across all driving conditions. This role works closely with hardware, software and validation teams to deliver high‑quality calibration for internal combustion, hybrid and electric powertrains.

Key responsibilities

• Lead drivability calibration for assigned vehicle programs from development through production.
• Manage a calibration team of approximately 10 members.
• Collaborate with simulation and modeling teams to predict and refine drivability behavior.
• Interface with OEMs, external development partners (AVL, FEV, Punch, AISIN) and internal stakeholders to align on targets.
• Mentor junior calibration engineers and support their development.
• Define and execute calibration strategies for throttle response, torque delivery, gear‑shift quality and pedal mapping.
• Conduct vehicle testing in diverse environments (altitude, temperature, road types).
• Analyze metrics using INCA, ETAS and perform root‑cause analysis to refine calibrations.
• Document calibration changes and maintain traceability in version‑control systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial Production or Mechatronics engineering.
• 6‑10 years of experience in vehicle drivability calibration.
• Proven leadership of cross‑functional calibration teams.
