About the role

The Product Engineering Advisor will lead the creation of optimized system design concepts and mechanical design specifications. Working with cross‑functional teams, you will ensure designs meet cost, weight, performance, reliability, durability, manufacturing, assembly and serviceability requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Translate multi‑stakeholder value‑package requirements into virtual designs and lead cross‑functional design reviews.
• Create CAD models that represent product‑level architectural concepts and enable dimensional variation and finite element analyses.
• Develop robust mechanical system concepts that satisfy Cummins and customer expectations across the product lifecycle.
• Use simulation and computational tools to predict product function at system, subsystem and component levels.
• Define and evolve holistic product platforms, generate alternative architectures, and conduct trade‑off analyses with stakeholders.
• Translate stakeholder needs into clear, verifiable system requirements.

Required profile

• Strong background in mechanical engineering and system design.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams with minimal supervision.
• Experience in leading design concept evaluations and requirement development.
