System Engineering Project Manager – Metro Rolling Stock

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a System Engineering Project Manager to lead complex metro rolling‑stock projects. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and controlling all project activities while ensuring technical requirements, budgets, and timelines are met.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, and technical requirements together with stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, resource allocations and milestones.
• Assemble and lead a multidisciplinary team of system engineers, software developers and technical specialists.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship and support to the engineering team.
• Monitor and control project budget, implement cost‑control measures and report KPI’s.
• Identify, analyse and mitigate technical, operational and organisational risks.
• Act as the liaison between the rolling‑stock business unit and the Engineering Centre in India.
• Facilitate communication with customers, executives and cross‑functional teams, delivering regular progress updates and technical reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale system engineering projects in the rail or transportation sector.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and drive results.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
