System Engineer – Maintenance Systems

About the role

The Maintenance Team at Airbus India is looking for a System Engineer focused on Maintenance Systems. You will contribute to designing BITE specifications, customizing aircraft systems, and advancing model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) solutions for both legacy commercial aircraft and Airbus Skywise data analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse technological needs of R&T projects and their ecosystem of customers, suppliers and partners.
• Rapidly prototype and develop concrete solutions that address identified problems.
• Design system architectures, preferably using MBSE approaches.
• Collaborate with a transnational agile team, learning impacts on other aircraft systems.
• Network with system designers and experts to refine innovative solutions.
• Validate, test and deploy solutions while documenting lessons learned.
• Provide regular project updates to stakeholders across the R&T plateau.

Required profile

• B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech/M.E in Aerospace, Electrical, Electronics or related engineering.
• 4‑5 years of experience in the aerospace or related industry.
• Strong understanding of aircraft systems such as Central Maintenance or Flight Warning Systems.
• Experience with CAMEO modeling, SysML data structures and Enterprise Architecture Frameworks.
• Knowledge of MBSE deployment, requirements management and V&V techniques.
• Familiarity with communication protocols and data exchange between systems.
• Proficiency in simulation tools (Matlab, Simulink, AMESI, Dymola) and scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, GoJS).
• Business‑level English proficiency and experience with Agile SAFe/Scrum.
