System Engineer

About the role

Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for a System Engineer to design and deliver control circuits for medium‑voltage (MV) switchgear solutions. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams and customers to ensure designs meet technical and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Draw control circuits for RMU units, including communication interfaces for RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs.
• Prepare and submit stage drawings within defined timelines.
• Coordinate mechanical design finalisation and liaise with vendors for equipment offers.
• Issue change management documents for applicable orders.
• Create part numbers, change notes, compliance reports, and GTP documentation.
• Participate in customer meetings for drawing approvals and project kick‑offs.
• Travel to customer sites when required for drawing approvals.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of engineering experience with MV switchgear.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Familiarity with SLDs, wiring diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and BOM creation.
• Ability to select and size CTs, PTs, protection relays, busbars, and related equipment.
• Experience reviewing customer specifications for compliance with standards.
