System Admin cum IT Stores Assistant

About the role

The System Administrator cum IT Stores Assistant will ensure the smooth operation of Skylink’s IT infrastructure while managing the company’s IT inventory. Based in Coimbatore, the role blends technical support, system maintenance, and asset tracking to keep both the network and the hardware stores running efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain servers, workstations, operating systems and business applications.
• Monitor LAN, Wi‑Fi and internet connectivity, perform regular updates, backups and security checks.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network incidents and provide first‑line support to employees.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls in line with security policies.
• Maintain antivirus solutions and enforce system security standards.
• Keep an accurate inventory of computers, laptops, printers, peripherals and accessories.
• Track asset allocation to staff and departments, record warranties and AMC details.
• Coordinate procurement, issue and receipt of IT equipment and report stock shortages.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in system administration or related IT support roles.
• Proven ability to manage IT assets and maintain detailed records.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with internal teams and external vendors.
