Supply Planning Manager

About the role

The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the receipt, dispatch and stock transfer of finished goods from manufacturing sites to distribution hubs and downstream CFAs. The role ensures service level targets such as OTIF are met while optimizing freight costs and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and update dispatch schedules in line with commercial requirements, ensuring timely delivery to hubs and CFAs.
• Minimize transportation costs through mode optimization and efficient load planning.
• Coordinate inter‑depot transfers to align with SKU forecasts and reduce mismatches.
• Monitor actual dispatches versus plans, generate MIS reports, and take corrective actions.
• Conduct weekly SARM reviews and monthly supply reviews with commercial teams.
• Collaborate with EPO, QA, and RA to address commercial queries promptly.
• Manage in‑transit stock, monitor carrier performance, and handle transport vendor classification, performance measurement, and agreements.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements, resolve observations, and implement CAPA plans.
• Lead or support supply‑chain related projects as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate in any discipline; MBA preferred.
• 2‑3 years of experience in dispatch planning or supply‑chain operations.
• Proficiency with SAP (especially PP‑DRP, MM, ECC) and strong analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of Indian pharmaceutical market dynamics, master scheduling, materials and capacity planning, vendor scheduling, OTIF metrics, and supply‑chain risk management.
• Familiarity with Total Quality Management, Lean manufacturing, and Theory of Constraints.
