Supply Chain Manager – Demand Planning & Logistics

About the role

The Supply Chain Manager will lead the monthly S&OP cycle for Thin Wheels and Construction Products, integrating demand signals from customer service, sales, and channel partners into a unified forecast. The role ensures material availability, optimises inventory, and coordinates logistics to meet high service‑level targets.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate bottom‑up demand inputs and produce a consensus demand plan with statistical forecasting (moving‑average, exponential smoothing, ML models) and commercial judgment.
• Set and monitor safety‑stock norms, ABC/XYZ allocation rules, and inventory‑day targets to achieve >95% fill rate for A‑class items.
• Coordinate MRP outputs, verify raw‑material stock and supplier orders, and maintain buffer stocks for critical materials such as aluminium oxide and silicon carbide.
• Manage import documentation (DGFT, BIS), customs clearance, and provide visibility of material arrival dates to production planners.
• Oversee outbound distribution, negotiate with 3PLs, track SLAs, and optimise freight cost through mode‑mix and load consolidation.
• Ensure compliance with GST, E‑way bill, and hazardous‑goods transport regulations for abrasive products.

Required profile

• Proven experience in demand sensing, forecasting, and S&OP execution.
• Strong background in inventory optimisation and material requirements planning.
• Familiarity with customs and regulatory compliance for international shipments.
