Subject Matter Expert - Financial Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert in Financial Reporting to lead the General Ledger closing, reporting and compliance for our Bangalore entity. The role involves ensuring accurate financial statements, supporting audits and driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage GL closing and reporting on a quarterly and annual basis, delivering results to the Board and Parent company.
• Maintain and control the chart of accounts, ensuring compliance with IND AS and IFRS standards.
• Coordinate monthly fiscal reviews with the Record to Report Head and Corporate Financial Controller.
• Oversee statutory financial statement preparation, audit facilitation and board meeting deliverables.
• Plan and execute month‑end closing activities, ensuring timely sub‑ledger closures and preparation of accounting schedules.
• Participate in finance control projects and process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• CA qualified with at least 5 years of post‑qualification experience in a medium or large manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Companies Act 2013, IND AS, IFRS and SEBI regulations.
• Proven experience handling annual audits under IFRS/IND AS.
• Exposure to SAP FI system is mandatory.
