Structural Parts Engineer – Steel Plates, Forgings & Casting

About the role

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Structural Parts Engineer to design and develop bogie components made from steel plates, forgings and castings. The role focuses on delivering compliant, manufacturable solutions for the Indian procurement market and supporting the Siemens plant in Aurangabad.

Key responsibilities

• Design bogie components and systems, ensuring they meet defined technical, legal and project requirements.
• Prepare detailed drawings, calculations, technical specifications, material master data and bills of materials.
• Manage schedule, cost and quality for assigned engineering projects and report progress.
• Coordinate changes with project engineers and integrate them into the overall design.
• Ensure functional and geometric integration of parts, as well as manufacturability and testability.
• Support the creation and maintenance of engineering documentation.
• Monitor product safety processes and raise alerts when deviations occur.

• Strong professional knowledge in mechanical design of structural parts, backed by practical experience.
• Ability to apply and expand technical knowledge in a broader engineering context.
