Strategic Controller – Finance Operations Lead

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, detail‑oriented Controller to lead and strengthen our financial operations as the business scales. The Controller will oversee accounting, reporting, budgeting, compliance, payroll and internal controls for a global group of companies, acting as a key partner to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Monitor financial performance and provide analysis of key trends, risks and opportunities.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, ongoing forecasting and variance analysis; develop financial models to support business planning.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting requirements and corporate policies.
• Develop, implement and maintain strong internal controls; coordinate external audits and manage auditor relationships.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity and working‑capital requirements; manage banking relationships and optimize cash management.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, leverage ERP systems and support automation initiatives.
• Provide guidance to the accounting and finance team and collaborate with department leaders to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
• Present financial information and recommendations to executive leadership.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) designation preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience overseeing global accounting operations.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations, financial reporting standards and internal controls.
