Statutory Accountant – Global Finance Services

About the role

Caterpillar is seeking a Statutory Accountant to join its Statutory Reporting Center of Excellence within the Global Finance Services Division. Based in Bangalore, the role supports high‑integrity financial reporting and transfer‑pricing compliance for the legal entity.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and audit schedules to meet local GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze financial results and perform audit adjustments based on GAAP differences.
• Reconcile local GAAP with US GAAP accounting profits.
• Coordinate with statutory auditors to ensure timely information provision.
• Collaborate with functional groups to compile and review financial data for statements and audit validation.
• Resolve audit queries and guide team members on financial presentation.
• Support transfer‑pricing activities by providing data to tax groups for compliance and assessments.

Required profile

• Strong background in statutory financial reporting and audit processes.
• Knowledge of local GAAP and US GAAP principles.
• Experience coordinating with external auditors and internal finance teams.
• Ability to analyze financial results and prepare accurate audit adjustments.
• Familiarity with transfer‑pricing concepts and tax compliance support.
