State Technical Support Officer – TIS South Asia Hub

About the role

PATH, a global nonprofit focused on health equity, is seeking a State Technical Support Officer for its flagship youth mental‑health initiative, ASPIRE, in Karnataka. Based at Arogya Soudha in Bengaluru, the officer will work closely with the Karnataka Department of Health and Family Welfare to integrate youth mental‑health services into primary health‑care and community systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and implementation of ASPIRE’s youth mental‑health activities across the state, with a focus on Chikkaballapur district.
• Act as PATH’s technical liaison with the State Mental Health Cell, facilitating meetings, follow‑ups and action‑point tracking.
• Organise technical consultations, capacity‑building sessions and supportive supervision for government officials and primary‑care providers.
• Strengthen partnerships and convergence across health, education, youth empowerment, women and child development, Panchayati Raj, academic institutions and development partners.

Required profile

• Fluent in Kannada and experienced in public‑health work within Karnataka government systems.
• Strong interpersonal and partnership‑building abilities with state, district and development stakeholders.
• Background in mental‑health, primary‑care or adolescent‑youth health programmes is highly desirable.
