State Medical Advisor – HIV (Project Sashakt)

About the role

PATH is seeking a State Medical Advisor to lead HIV service delivery under Project Sashakt in Dimapur. The role focuses on strengthening ART sites, improving HIV‑TB coordination, and supporting the National AIDS Control Program to meet the UNAIDS 95‑95‑95 targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical mentoring to target ART centres through regular site visits.
• Ensure implementation of ART services according to National AIDS Control Program guidelines.
• Work with sites to achieve high retention of people living with HIV.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and adherence to good clinical practices.
• Enhance HIV‑TB coordination activities at ART centres.
• Plan and participate in SACEP/Tele‑SACEP activities with SACS, CoE/ART Plus centres.
• Identify capacity‑building needs of ART staff and organize appropriate trainings.
• Support implementation of differentiated ART delivery models to expand coverage.
• Engage the private sector through visits to private practitioners and NGOs.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD) with experience in HIV/AIDS program management.
• Demonstrated experience in clinical mentoring and capacity building.
• Familiarity with ART service delivery and national HIV guidelines.
• Strong understanding of HIV‑TB co‑infection management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government, NGOs, and private providers.
