Staff Nurse – OPD, Ward, Emergency, Recovery & OT

About the role

The hospital is seeking a versatile Staff Nurse to provide high‑quality care across multiple units including OPD, ward, emergency, post‑operative recovery and the operation theatre. The role involves direct patient care, coordination with doctors, and ensuring the readiness of equipment and supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform triage in the emergency department and assist doctors during mass‑casualty situations.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage pain or nausea in the recovery room as per physician orders.
• Collect and label specimens, record laboratory results, and communicate findings to the medical team.
• Maintain adequate stock of medicines, consumables and crash‑cart supplies; ensure timely replenishment.
• Inspect and report any malfunction of medical equipment to the Biomedical Engineering department.
• Document patient care activities, quality indicators and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide clear updates to patients and families regarding treatment plans and test results.
• Uphold infection‑control protocols and maintain a sterile environment in all assigned areas.

Required profile

• Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery or B.Sc. Nursing.
• Adherence to the specified dress code and possession of a valid ID card.
• Willingness to work shift‑based duty hours as per schedule.
• Ability to report to the Floor In‑charge and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
