Staff Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

Bloomreach is seeking a seasoned Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design and implementation of AI‑driven relevance solutions for its Search Quality team. You will own the technical roadmap, develop and productionize ML models, and collaborate with engineers and product teams to improve search relevance across multiple domains.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical roadmap and provide architecture leadership for ML‑driven relevance solutions.
• Design, develop, and enhance ML/AI models and algorithms for search and relevance.
• Build and maintain model evaluation and experimentation frameworks.
• Integrate and scale ML components into production systems with software and data engineers.
• Analyze search and relevance data to identify problems and drive improvements.
• Mentor engineers and influence cross‑team decisions.

Required profile

• BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years experience building ML‑driven systems in production.
• Strong background in search, information retrieval, ranking, or search relevance.
• Experience with large‑scale data, LLMs, and NLP techniques.
• Proven ability to work across multiple merchants, domains, and languages.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Java or Go.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Deep learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow.
• Large language models (LLMs) and generative AI.
• Search technologies: lexical, vector, RAG, recommendation systems.
• Natural language processing (NLP) and query understanding.
