Staff Auditor

About the role

The Staff Auditor joins Alight’s Assurance and Risk Management team to evaluate internal controls across global operations. This role involves conducting operational, compliance and financial audits, supporting external auditors, and ensuring Sarbanes‑Oxley 404 compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in operational, compliance and financial audits, assessing control design and effectiveness.
• Document processes, risks and controls accurately for assigned audit areas.
• Execute audit test procedures and maintain testing documentation.
• Identify findings, develop recommendations and communicate results to the Audit Project Manager.
• Follow up on remediation actions and monitor SOX controls testing outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver oral and written presentations on audit results, control deficiencies and cost‑reduction suggestions.
• Assist external auditors during interim and annual reviews as needed.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc special projects, corporate investigations and broader Assurance initiatives.

Required profile

• Understanding of internal audit principles and control frameworks.
• Ability to work independently with initiative and moderate supervision.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Effective communication skills for presenting findings to management.
• Willingness to engage in global audit assignments.
