SRE Developer – Digital Archiving

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will champion automation, foster collaboration, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure operational availability and reliability of the Digital Archive and optimize resource utilization.
• Lead troubleshooting sessions, perform root‑cause analysis and define resolutions.
• Automate traditional system‑administration tasks for the Digital Archive.
• Build and maintain monitoring and self‑healing solutions to increase system resilience.
• Provide guidance on automation and DevSecOps to business and technical teams.
• Coordinate collaboration between development, system, infrastructure and security teams.
• Maintain the system team backlog, plan iterations, prioritize and accept user stories.
• Support and prepare SAFe ceremonies such as PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt and System Demos.
• Assemble and edit source code repositories to develop the software stack required by the product.
• Respect solution standards and environment structure.

Required profile

• Engineering graduate or post‑graduate with 3‑5 years of experience developing IT solutions.
• 2‑3 years of experience designing and building complex IT systems.
• Degree in IT, engineering or a related discipline.
• Solid experience in software development processes and system architectures.
• Good understanding of DevSecOps concepts and experience working with agile delivery and operation teams.
• Fluent English and awareness of compliance risks.

Required skills

• Automated configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Logging and event‑management tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Zabbix).
• Linux and Windows system administration.
• CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube).
• Hosting Spring Boot and J2EE applications on RedHat EAP.
• Programming languages: Java, Python, Go, Bash (shell scripting).
• Cloud and container technologies (optional but valued).
• Knowledge of Camunda and MarkLogic (optional).
