Solution Architecture - Application Lead

About the role

The Solution Architecture - Application Lead will drive architectural governance for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring designs align with enterprise standards and business goals. You will mentor a team of developers and administrators while translating complex requirements into scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide architectural governance and support for ServiceNow, aligning detailed designs with enterprise architecture.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between strategic objectives and vendor implementations.
• Design and document reference architectures, design patterns, and data integration flows.
• Conduct gap analysis and evaluate functionality against out‑of‑the‑box ServiceNow capabilities.
• Advise development teams on methodologies, frameworks, SDLC, and coding standards.
• Evaluate new ServiceNow features and releases to support transformation strategies.
• Lead, mentor, and guide ServiceNow developers and administrators.
• Establish code review processes, deployment strategies, and platform security best practices.
• Oversee platform health, performance tuning, and manage bi‑annual version upgrades.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on ServiceNow development and technical architecture experience.
• At least three ServiceNow certifications (e.g., System Administrator, Application Developer, Implementation Specialist – ITSM).
• Preferred certifications: Certified Enterprise Architect (CEA) or Certified Application Architect (CAA).
• Strong foundation in ITIL processes and proven delivery within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exceptional problem‑solving abilities, ownership mindset, and leadership skills.

Required skills

• ServiceNow platform expertise.
• JavaScript, Angular, Jelly scripting.
• SQL, JDBC/ODBC, REST Web Services.
• SSO, SAML, SSL integration.
• Common Service Data Model (CSDM) framework.
• CI/CD pipeline implementation and Automated Test Framework (ATF) within ServiceNow.
• Experience with ServiceNow suites: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD.
