Software Methods and Quality Engineer

About the role

The Avionics Software department at Airbus India is looking for a Software Methods and Quality Engineer to support the development, certification and continuous improvement of critical avionics software. You will work closely with development teams, the Quality Manager and external certification authorities to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance and technical sampling of avionics software deliverables in line with DO-178B/ED-12 objectives.
• Provide technical support for software development processes, methods and tools.
• Maintain and update the Plan for Software Aspects of Certification (PSAC) and the Software Quality Assurance Plan (SQAP).
• Conduct internal reviews, prepare documentation for EASA external reviews and approve software documents.
• Verify consistency, completeness and accuracy of certification records and configuration management data.
• Lead root‑cause analysis of software anomalies and propose process improvements.

Required profile

• Experience in development and verification of critical real‑time embedded software.
• Strong knowledge of DO-178B/ED-12 and EASA certification processes.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Willingness to become a method‑quality specialist within the avionics domain.
