Software Engineering Lead – A&E

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineering Lead to guide a high‑visibility team that delivers stable, high‑quality software for education and electronic health record products. In this role you will act as a subject‑matter expert, write complex code, set project direction, and manage a group of direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Design, develop, and maintain complex applications using a variety of languages and platforms.
• Define project plans, schedules, and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and ensure adherence.
• Drive test‑driven development and enforce industry best practices.
• Collaborate with internal and external resources to solve complex business problems.
• Research, prototype, and optimize data models and storage solutions.
• Write and review detailed specifications for system components.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Experience with managed services or staff‑augmentation resource models.
• Proven ability to lead internal and external technology teams.
• Strong research, problem‑solving, and project‑management skills.
