Software Engineer – Python & Docker – AI Data

About the role

Fusion CX is looking for a Software Engineer with strong Python and Docker expertise to support a frontier AI data initiative. You will build and test backend applications, develop SaaS connectors, mine workflows, and use AI coding assistants throughout development, QA, and validation.

Key responsibilities

• Build Python backend applications that replicate SaaS tools such as Slack, Linear, Jira, Notion, Gmail, and wikis, including full‑service integrations.
• Perform thorough testing and integration validation to ensure connectors behave faithfully.
• Adapt, extend, or create new connectors within agreed delivery timeframes.
• Conduct data and task mining to identify realistic workflows for long‑horizon AI tasks.
• Author realistic tasks, verify their quality, and write clear evaluation rubrics.
• Use AI coding agents throughout development, QA, and validation, and collaborate across connector and task tracks.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python with FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• Experience with Git, Docker, REST APIs and microservices.
• Proficient use of AI coding assistants (e.g., Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
