Software Engineer (Java Developer)

About the role

Maropost is looking for a Java‑focused Software Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain production‑grade backend services that power a unified commerce platform used by thousands of global brands.

Key responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain clean, readable, and efficient Java code.
• Refactor and improve existing services to increase performance and reliability.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing to technical specifications.
• Build scalable backend applications, REST and/or GraphQL APIs, and event‑driven services.
• Design and maintain SQL schemas and data models aligned with business domains.
• Write automated tests and engage in code reviews.
• Deploy services using cloud‑native infrastructure and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and continuous improvement of engineering processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with message‑based or event‑driven architectures.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Comfort with modern CI/CD practices and automated deployment.
