Software Engineer

About the role

Plume is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Hyderabad office. You will work on data‑driven network solutions that power our SaaS platform for smart homes and enterprises, collaborating with a fast‑moving, innovation‑focused team.

Key responsibilities

• Data analysis: analyse network data to develop code and configuration files.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews.
• Participate in R&D activities to drive security feature innovation.
• Deploy, operate, test, and troubleshoot internal code and configurations affecting end users.
• Take ownership of problems and develop solutions within your responsibilities.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while handling multiple priorities.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in software development, network engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, C or C++.
• Good querying skills in SQL and familiarity with PySpark.
• Basic understanding of computer networking and OSI‑layer protocols.
• Experience analysing data to create software or configuration solutions.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including code reviews, debugging, and testing.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
