Software Engineer

About the role

Flipkart is looking for an SDE‑2 who will design, develop, and ship features that meet product requirements. You will work across multiple technology components, adopt best practices, and ensure the codebase remains maintainable, extensible, and reliable at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design components by translating product requirements, break down projects into tasks, and provide accurate estimates.
• Independently create low‑level designs, write modular, extensible, readable, and performant code.
• Select appropriate data structures, tools, and tech stacks, and contribute to high‑level design under guidance.
• Build, develop, mentor, and coach junior team members.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to align on shared vision and deliver solutions.

Required profile

• B.Tech, M.Tech or equivalent with at least 3 years of professional experience.
• Strong ability to build abstractions, contracts, and maintain separation of concerns.
• Extensive programming experience in at least one language such as Java, Ruby, Clojure, Scala, C, C++, or SQL.
• Solid object‑oriented programming skills and experience with multithreading and concurrency.
• Capability to handle complex business flows and large data volumes.
• Prior experience working in an agile environment with CI/CD practices.
• Experience building robust, scalable web applications is a plus.
