Software Engineer III – Android Development

About the role

Join Sam’s Club’s fast‑growing mobile team to design, build, and ship high‑quality Android applications that serve millions of members. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to create seamless shopping experiences across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy Android apps using Java and Kotlin.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define feature requirements and architecture.
• Drive technical discussions, ensure alignment with Walmart’s engineering standards, and participate in code reviews.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize performance for robust, responsive user experiences.
• Integrate mobile solutions with microservices, REST APIs, and GraphQL endpoints.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and maintain high code quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–6 years of professional mobile engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on Android development.
• Proven track record of shipping Android applications available on Google Play.
• Experience working in agile, cross‑functional teams.
