Software Engineer I – Front End Development (Node/React)

About the role

Deloitte Digital is looking for a Software Engineer I to join its Front End Development team. You will work on creating responsive, component‑based web applications that power client‑facing digital experiences across a variety of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Translate wireframes, mockups and requirements into clean, maintainable code.
• Build rich, responsive GUI websites that work seamlessly on all devices.
• Develop and maintain component‑based architectures using frameworks such as React, Angular, Ember or Vue.
• Write unit and end‑to‑end tests following Test‑Driven Development principles.
• Collaborate with back‑end teams to design and consume APIs.
• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning and deployment processes.

Required profile

• Strong interest in front‑end technologies and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to stay updated with emerging tech trends and best practices.
• Basic understanding of design thinking and its application to digital solutions.

Required skills

• Node.js
• React.js (or other modern JS frameworks such as Angular, Ember, Vue.js)
• CSS and responsive layout techniques
• Templating engines
• Test‑Driven Development, unit testing, end‑to‑end testing
• API development in a server‑side language of choice
• Familiarity with the Node ecosystem
• NoSQL and relational databases
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure
• Server configuration basics
