Software Engineer – Backend Data & API Development

About the role

Airbus India is looking for a Backend Data and API Developer to join the Skywise Software Factory team in Bangalore. You will work on data transformation, API exposure and cloud services, supporting flight‑operation solutions for airlines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, test, document and debug backend components to meet acceptance criteria.
• Implement data pipelines and RESTful APIs using C#, SQL and AWS managed services.
• Participate in code reviews, unit‑test creation and test‑automation activities.
• Estimate stories, review test cases and support agile (SAFe) delivery cycles.
• Collaborate with squad members, communicate progress and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Provide L3 support and occasional travel to Europe for business meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 3–7 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ability to work in a high‑energy team.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

Required skills

• C# programming language.
• SQL database development and querying.
• AWS managed services (e.g., Lambda, RDS, S3).
• CI/CD pipelines and version‑control best practices.
• Agile methodologies, preferably SAFe.
