Software Engineer – AVP (PING ID)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AVP Software Engineer to lead the design, development and delivery of secure, scalable and resilient applications for the PING ID solution. The role combines hands‑on engineering, technical oversight and end‑to‑end project delivery across the PING ID platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and support of secure, high‑performing applications.
• Perform hands‑on software engineering activities including coding, solution design, code reviews and troubleshooting.
• Define and implement engineering standards, patterns and best practices.
• Drive adoption of modern CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security controls and release automation.
• Collaborate with product owners, solution architects, security, platform and QA teams to deliver integrated digital solutions.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise security, risk, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical leadership across technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Docker, Google Cloud and secure code engineering.
• Mentor and coach team members, support recruitment and foster a culture of engineering excellence.

Required profile

• Experience working within large‑scale, complex mobile codebases.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, maintainability and modern engineering practices.
• Proven ability to balance technical quality, operational stability, performance and delivery objectives.
• Comfortable providing technical guidance, code reviews and architectural direction.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.

• Java and JavaScript development.

• ProofID technology and identity management.
• API design, RESTful services and integration contracts.
• OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, token exchange and policy systems.
• Use of AI engineering tools for code understanding and prototyping.
• Experience with authentication, authorization and distributed systems.
