Software Engineer - Android Application Development

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Software Engineer to design and maintain Bluetooth‑connected Android applications for JBL consumer audio products. You will work closely with global R&D teams to deliver high‑quality mobile solutions that enhance the listening experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement BLE and BREDR communication between Android apps and JBL speakers.
• Own the full Android application lifecycle, from concept to release.
• Build responsive UI using MVVM architecture with Kotlin and Java in Android Studio.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware and QA teams across regions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives and code reviews.
• Leverage AI tools and modern development practices to improve efficiency and drive innovation.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of hands‑on Android development experience.
• At least 2 years developing Bluetooth (BLE/BREDR) applications.
• Strong debugging skills across multiple Android devices and OS versions.
• Effective verbal and written communication and ability to work in a hybrid environment.
