Software Engineer – Alternatives Data Management

About the role

Addepar is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement, and deliver modern software solutions for its alternatives data management product. The role focuses on ingesting and processing machine‑learning extracted data while collaborating with data scientists, product managers, and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions to solve complex problems; write well‑designed, testable code.
• Lead individual project priorities, achievements, and software releases.
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to integrate ML‑extracted data into the backend stack.
• Work with product managers and client teams on requirements, design feasibility, and user feedback.
• Document software functionality, system design, and project plans.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of backend development experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of Python or Java.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Experience with serverless architecture.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code experience, preferably Terraform.
• Solutions‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with AWS is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with DynamoDB, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
• Ability to write, debug, and optimise SQL queries.
• Knowledge of front‑end development and fintech domain is a plus.
