Software Architecture & Automation Engineer (SCM)

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is looking for a senior engineer to lead the design and automation of software architecture for its SCM platform. You will translate complex requirements into robust system designs, build automation tools, and ensure seamless release pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop systematic architectural designs using models such as C4 and document decisions for reliability and usability.
• Create and maintain Python‑based automation tools and API integrations for release management.
• Design release automation workflows, including versioning (Conventional Commits), changelog generation, and quality‑gate promotion.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with Docker, Kubernetes, Artifactory and Infrastructure‑as‑Code APIs.
• Collaborate with embedded Linux development teams to align tooling with end‑user contexts.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication or equivalent.
• 8‑10 years of professional experience in software architecture, automation, and release engineering.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Python 3.x, Poetry, Pytest, Pylint/Flake8, Typer.
• Architectural modeling (C4 model) and design for quality attributes.
• Git, GitFlow, GitHub/GitLab repository management.
• Docker, Kubernetes, Artifactory, CI/CD integration.
• REST API development, JSON, YAML, TOML.
• Embedded Linux software development basics.
