About the role
Bosch Global Software Technologies is seeking an experienced Software Architect to lead safety engineering activities for Occupant Safety Systems (air bags) across the product development lifecycle. The role involves close collaboration with OEM customers, project teams and cross‑functional engineers to ensure ISO 26262‑compliant safety processes and successful project delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Perform requirements engineering, including development and review of requirements.
- Develop and review High‑Level Design (HLD) and Low‑Level Design (LLD).
- Review system and software test specifications.
- Communicate software architecture, design decisions, and updates to stakeholders.
- Analyze potential non‑compliance with dependability requirements and implement corrective actions.
- Determine, implement, and verify compliance with dependability requirements.
- Participate in change request estimation together with the Project Manager.
- Moderate Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and identify impacted software components and test scope.
- Mentor Software Leads, Engineers, and Test Teams.
- Define, implement, and verify safety‑related software requirements.
- Ensure compliance with automotive software quality processes and standards.
- Support architecture reviews focusing on reliability, maintainability, and robustness.
Required profile
- Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven experience in embedded systems with Real‑Time Operating System (RTOS) exposure.
- Hands‑on experience in automotive software development using C.
- Deep knowledge of requirements engineering.
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to Model‑Based Software Development.
- Experience in problem and change request management.
- Ability to analyze software impact and define appropriate test scope.
- Support project estimation, planning, and technical risk assessment.
- Drive complex debugging, root‑cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Familiarity with systematic methodologies such as DRBFM.
