Software Architect – Automotive Airbag

About the role
We are looking for a senior Software Architect to lead the development of safety‑critical airbag software for Bosch’s automotive portfolio. Based in Bangalore, you will shape the architecture, ensure compliance with dependability standards and mentor a cross‑functional team.
Key responsibilities
- Perform requirements engineering and develop high‑level and low‑level designs.
- Review system and software test specifications and ensure alignment with safety standards.
- Communicate architecture decisions to stakeholders and moderate Change Control Board meetings.
- Define, implement and verify dependability and safety‑related software requirements.
- Support project estimation, planning and technical risk assessment.
- Mentor software leads, engineers and test teams, fostering best practices.
Required profile
- 10–15 years of experience in embedded automotive software development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Strong communication, leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Proven track record on large‑scale projects and familiarity with Agile processes.
Required skills
- Proficiency in C programming for embedded systems.
- Experience with Real‑Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
- Embedded systems design and debugging.
- Requirements engineering and model‑based software development.
- Agile methodology and change request management.
- Knowledge of systematic safety analysis techniques such as DRBFM.
