Skywise Engineer – Data & Analytics for Aviation

About the role

The Skywise Engineer will develop quick‑win digital solutions on the Skywise platform that deliver immediate value to airline customers. You will work with raw aircraft data, apply analytics, and create dashboards or small applications that help airlines improve maintenance, operations, and predictive capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to capture airline pain points and translate them into technical requirements.
• Analyze, clean, and organize raw flight data from multiple airlines.
• Build data pipelines and systems to support large‑scale analytics.
• Interpret trends, patterns, and business needs to deliver actionable insights.
• Develop workflows, small apps, and dashboards on the Skywise platform.
• Enhance data quality and reliability across sources.
• Document and maintain a repository of all solutions created.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or BTech in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, engineering, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of airline operations, maintenance, and ground processes.
• Excellent business analyst and customer‑service skills.
• Critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL and relational database design.
• Python programming.
• PySpark for big‑data processing.
• Skywise platform tools (Contour, Code‑Workbook, Slate, Ontology definitions).
• AWS services: S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, RDS, VPC.
• Data modeling, data mining, segmentation, and data‑pipeline development.
