Site Security Officer – Security Management

About the role

Roche is seeking a Site Security Officer (SSO) to lead security operations across its Hyderabad and Pune sites. The SSO will act as the primary security expert, providing guidance, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with global and local security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update site security risk assessments, policies, handbooks, procedures and checklists.
• Manage outsourced security services, ensuring performance and contractual compliance.
• Ensure compliance with product security regulations, including serialization, track‑and‑trace and anti‑counterfeiting measures.
• Implement robust security protocols for warehousing, distribution and physical protection of assets.
• Supervise internal security staff and external service providers.
• Engage with senior site management, SHE officers, government agencies, law enforcement and global security teams.
• Provide security incident, emergency management and travel‑risk advice to business units.

Required profile

• Proven experience in site security management within a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of security governance, compliance and risk assessment methodologies.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
