Site Reliability Engineer II

About the role

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II (SRE II) to ensure the stability, scalability, and reliability of our services and infrastructure. The role focuses on building automation, maintaining observability, and supporting incident response while collaborating with engineering, product, and operations teams. You will embed reliability practices into day‑to‑day development and help reduce manual toil across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Support the availability and durability of critical services, monitor health with SLIs/SLOs and error budgets, and participate in on‑call rotations, incident response and post‑incident reviews.
• Develop automation for common operational tasks, contribute to monitoring and alerting frameworks such as Prometheus, Grafana and the ELK stack, and work with CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins.
• Follow established ITIL/OSS processes for incident, change, problem and capacity management, and document systems, runbooks and learnings.
• Partner with engineering, product and operations to design resilient systems, assist in capacity planning and disaster‑recovery exercises, and work with vendors to track SLA performance.
• Identify recurring issues, maintain and improve playbooks and operational documentation, and promote a reliability‑focused engineering culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in site reliability, systems engineering or operations on large‑scale production systems.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, with solid understanding of monitoring, alerting, incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash or Go.
• Experience with containers (Kubernetes, Docker) and microservices architectures.
