Site Manager – Maintenance Operations

About the role

Saipem is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead multi‑disciplinary teams on offshore and onshore installations across West Africa. The role focuses on safe, efficient execution of both planned and unplanned maintenance activities while supporting overall production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supervisors, technical staff and subcontractors to coordinate maintenance tasks and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain strict adherence to HSE rules, legislative regulations and international standards.
• Interface with the owner (GS), monitor KPIs, implement cost‑effective maintenance plans and maximise equipment uptime.
• Lead the team in applying company policy and project strategy, achieving performance targets.
• Coordinate daily activities, assign work, enforce Permit‑to‑Work procedures and validate technical reports.
• Prepare and present maintenance and performance reports, analyse results and propose improvements.
• Oversee subcontractor administration, including progress reporting, timekeeping and cost control.
• Ensure maintenance procedures and tools are appropriate, suggest enhancements and coordinate with planning, CMMS and production teams.
• Anticipate potential production issues and implement corrective measures to avoid downtime.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing maintenance operations on offshore and onshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE compliance, KPI monitoring and cost‑effective maintenance planning.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractor relationships.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to preventing production losses.
