Site Manager

About the role

Applebridge is expanding and is looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee its North East construction sites. The role involves managing daily site operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all operatives and subcontractors are properly inducted, issued correct PPE and work safely.
• Verify competence and qualifications of all personnel to meet quality standards.
• Observe and maintain health, safety and environmental management standards.
• Establish and uphold quality standards on site, delivering builds in line with project specifications.
• Deliver works economically to minimise waste and avoid non‑recoverable costs.
• Understand client priorities and maintain professional, collaborative relationships.

Required profile

• Hands‑on management and delivery experience of construction or civil engineering projects.
• ‘Can‑do’ attitude with the ability to challenge the status quo.
• Valid CSCS card (essential) and SSSTS/SMSTS accreditation (advantageous).
• Valid driving licence.
• Collaborative mindset and strong relationship‑building skills.
