Site Manager

About the role

Downwell Group is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations on construction and enabling works sites. You will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on schedule and within budget while upholding the company’s high standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all on‑site activities and ensure adherence to project timelines.
• Supervise, motivate and coordinate site teams and subcontractors.
• Monitor health and safety compliance and conduct regular site inspections.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Maintain accurate site records and report progress to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in construction, enabling works or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and site‑management best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively.
• Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS card or NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management.
