Site Engineer – Building Construction

About the role

Nidhi Land Infrastructure Developers India (P) Ltd. is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to supervise and manage day‑to‑day execution of building construction projects in Mangalore. The role involves ensuring that all construction activities align with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily construction activities on site.
• Execute work according to approved architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Plan and coordinate daily and weekly site operations.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Check line, level, dimensions, reinforcement, shuttering and other details before and during execution.
• Supervise civil works including excavation, foundations, RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring and finishing.
• Inspect reinforcement, formwork and embedded items before concrete pours.
• Monitor concreting activities, ensuring proper placement, compaction, curing and quality control.
• Maintain daily progress, labour and material records and other site documentation.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and site conditions and report promptly.
• Control material wastage, ensure proper storage and handle safety compliance.

Required profile

• Proven practical experience in residential or commercial building construction.
• Familiarity with local construction practices, materials, labour management and execution techniques.
• Ability to supervise crews, coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage site documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve site‑related issues.

Required skills

• Interpretation of architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Reinforcement and formwork inspection.
• Concrete placement, compaction and curing monitoring.
• Supervision of RCC and civil works.
• Material and labour management on construction sites.
