Sink/Wire EDM Machine Operator

About the role

The Sink/Wire EDM Machine Operator is responsible for operating specialized EDM machines to produce tooling parts according to engineering drawings. The role requires precise interpretation of technical specifications and consistent adherence to machining standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor Sink and Wire EDM machines to manufacture tooling components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Select appropriate machining tools, cutting speeds, and feeds for each job.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain production logs and ensure compliance with safety and quality guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience operating EDM machines.
• ITI or Diploma qualification in a relevant technical field.
• Ability to work accurately with engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
