Simulation Modeling Engineer

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Simulation Modeling Engineer to develop and validate simulation models for various aircraft systems. The role supports system design, testing, and pilot training across multiple Airbus programs at the Bengaluru Engineering Centre.

Key responsibilities

• Develop behavioral and physical models for aircraft systems.
• Verify and validate models on target simulation platforms.
• Integrate system models to represent broader aircraft behavior.
• Update models based on change requests and system updates.
• Collaborate with stakeholders during V&V campaigns across programs.
• Support global system‑simulation initiatives within Airbus.
• Automate analysis for different system models.
• Initiate optimization studies and propose innovative solutions.
• Create collaboration topics to improve processes, methods, and tools.

Required profile

• B.Tech/B.E., M.Tech/M.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• General awareness of aircraft and its systems.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, system dynamics and first‑principles analysis.
• Assertive communication, teamwork in a transnational environment, and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Programming in C/C++.
• MATLAB and Simulink.
• Shell scripting.
• Real‑time and non‑real‑time simulation software knowledge.
• Control‑systems knowledge.
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools such as TELEMACO.
